Tips for your first trip to Dubai

Dubai was one of the top destinations on my bucket list. I made my first trip to Dubai in October (in Dubai, the month of the trip makes a lot of difference) and I had great experiences, or rather, I loved everything!
Time to plan the Holidays to Dubai. In addition to the tickets, you will need air travel, accommodation, transfers and tours.
Preparing for the first trip to Dubai
First time in the Emirates and in an Arab country. As I follow several blogs, I had already seen some things. Still, that insecurity…
Before travelling
The ideal is to buy the flight, hotel and tour all in one package. If you already have the flight, go with transfers, hotel and at least two tours booked in advance.
Visa
Up to 30 days, tourists in some countries do not need a visa to enter Dubai, such as Portugal, Spain, Italy, the United States…
We do not need a visa to enter Dubai. (updated in 2021 – on the Emirates website, you can take it in advance for approximately 100 dollars). Before, you had to request the forms from a sponsor (sponsor), which could be the hotel where you are going to stay, some agency of Dubai tourism, some agencies here in our country, the airline (Emirates) and so on. I found it quite different, but nothing too difficult.
Dubai travel insurance
It’s essential!! I don’t even mention positives and negatives here. Traveling without insurance is super risky.
Important information: Dubai has many “adventure” activities and water sports. If you are going to do water activities, check if this is included in the insurance clauses or if you need an extra package of coverage.
Opt for options with COVID-19 coverage
You need to book your hotels, rent a car, order your internet chip, take out travel insurance and buy airline tickets.
Travel insurance: Assist Card is one of the largest insurance companies in the world with more than 50 years and presence in more than 200 countries. It is the only one to guarantee 100% assistance for COVID.

Vaccines for Dubai
If you have traveled to or been through areas where there is cholera and yellow fever, you will need a vaccination certificate. Otherwise, it is not mandatory. They do not request a COVID vaccination certificate, but PCR is mandatory.
Currency
The local currency is called United Arab Emirates Diham AED/DHS and fils. The dollar is accepted in some stores, but the ideal is to exchange it for the local currency. Credit cards are also well accepted pretty much everywhere. There are currency exchange bureaus in shopping malls, hotels and the airport. Mall rates are good.
In the next post, we will talk about some places to visit in Dubai. Thank you for reading.
